Most Romantic Place To Watch The Sunset in Boracay

“It is almost impossible to watch a sunset and not dream.”

Bern Williams

REWIND 2010: My third Boracay Trip. I was one of the bloggers who won a 3D/2N Boracay Vacation Spree by a local airline. Free roundtrip tickets, ate at a number of top-notch restaurants and stayed at a luxurious resort located at Diniwid Beach. I remember getting impatient on my way there for the first time, but the pristine white sand beach and the fact that less people go there made the journey worth it.

JANUARY 4, 2014: First Saturday of the year. I didn’t really plan to visit Boracay, but I missed it. When Brenna asked me if I would like to go with her, I immediately said Yes! Our flight tickets were booked via Murang Lipad. Talk about hassle-free flight bookings!

I first met Brenna in Boracay. We were two of the eight lucky travelers who won on the contest conducted by a local airline. Although we weren’t able to spend much time together on that trip, we managed to keep in touch via Facebook and in offline events. This marks as our third Boracay trip together. Yeah, no changing of location. Boracay Forever!

That Saturday afternoon, we embarked on a trip to Diniwid Beach. From Station 2, we hired a tricycle to drive us to Diniwid Beach (Php 100). It’s been years since we last stepped on that secluded beachfront. Also, our Irish friends lured us to go by saying it is the ‘Best Place to Watch the Sunset in Boracay’

Weh.
Boracay is really known for its nice view of the sunset. Some even claim that the colors change colors everytime they take a photo. I think as long as you’re in the beach area, you’re in for a good sunset view. On the other hand, I’m also curious about this Spider House place.

I am not sure on how long Spider House Resort (check rates) is operating, but it is situated on the rocky part that’s why we weren’t able to see it on our first trip. We were quite stunned when we saw a number of foreigners playing volleyball or just chilling under the sun. Brenna, are we in Thailand or anywhere outside the Philippines? It seems that only 20% of the population at Diniwid Beach are Filipinos. The rest are Westerners or Koreans.

We asked around, and we were able to locate Spider House. IT’S A TRAP!

Nah.
It turned out to be a cozy place. We simply smiled when we saw three of our friends playing scrabble. We were mesmerized once we joined them. Now I know why they have nothing but nice words to say about this place!

For two hours, we were just chilling – no laptops, no smartphones with wifi (unless we need to take pictures). Drinking, swimming, playing a board game with a magnificent view. Waiting for the sunset had never been this great!

As what my lovely friend mentioned on her post, Spider House is a romantic place (no matter how unromantic the name is). The ambiance reminds you of the old Boracay feel. Add the fact that travelers from different parts of the world actually know this place and they go here to catch the sunset too. While my friends opted for Red Horse or San Mig Light, I ordered… Iced Coffee. Nice. Walang basagan ng trip!

Brenna and her special someone were seated in a native chair as they watch the sun set. I decided to grant them some privacy by moving away and joining two of our friends at the table. We exchanged stories about UK while the two love birds were holding hands and kissed like in the movies.

I’m happy for my friend and the truth is I really like this guy for her. I just wish they both realize it and never let each other go. Posasan ko kaya ‘tong mga to?

I won’t deny that I was also thinking of someone that time. Yes, I am surrounded by so many good-looking men in Spider House (that’s a hint for those who want to do some boy-watching in Boracay lol), but there’s this one person from the other side of the world I’m hoping to hold hands with as we watch the sun set. The distance truly makes the heart go fonder. I was watching the sun set while he is probably on his way to dreamland that moment. Even the time zone contributes to my frustration, but it is ok. As long as communication lines are open, I guess everything’s gonna be alright.

Months or years from now, I’ll check this post and show it to him. Let’s wait and see πŸ˜‰

Ang astig naman sa Diniwid, Myx! πŸ™‚ I’ve been to Boracay several times already, but have never been to this area pa. Parang mas nakaka-excite bumalik… at magwatch ng sunset from there. And as for all the lovey-dovey stuff.. papuntahin na ang beau mo sa Pilipinas, ng magka-sunset moment na din kayo. ;P

Mica! I was wanting to write a post for the perfect sunset spot for Boracay and guess what I had in mind? West Cove of Diniwid Beach. lol Same stretch of beach. You’d just have to walk more to get to the other one though I gotta admit, you can’t just jump into the water from there – so that’s a plus for Spider House. I love this part of the island! <3

Sunset is most Beautiful part of Love and Romance ! I’m Really serious about Sunset and in fact I can’t share and deep explain about Sunset. Most of youngsters and couples want to spend their valuable time with their partners in Sunset. Most of people just wait for Sunset to make it more specially for their partners and there are many ways to talk about Sunset !
