Where to Stay in Bacolod: L’ Fisher Hotel

I can say that I am lucky with my first ever Bacolod trip. Aside from the fact that AirPhil Express tapped us to cover Byahilo’s special Masskara Festival 2011 moment with Barangay 17 and I am able to explore the City of Smiles with my buddy Hannah, we were given a chance to stay in L Fisher Hotel, which is known as one of the luxurious hotels in Bacolod City.

Straight from the Bacolod-Silay Airport, we rode two jeepneys to reach L’Fisher Hotel. When we entered the lobby area, we noticed that majority of the guests were businessmen or tourists who wouldn’t mind to spend their moolah for comfort. Lucky spoiled nyoks we are, indeed 😛

We met up with Casey and the rest of the APX Visayas crew, who waited for us at the room. After leaving our things at the ed, we went to the Buffet Table for our heavy breakfast. Hannah and I didn’t sleep night prior to the flight and we need more energy for the dance competition in the afternoon. I’m just glad that there’s a buffet breakfast woohoo 😀

Right after our satisfying breakfast, we went to the old Calea branch. Unfortunately, the branch located at the left side of the hotel is closed. We didn’t know that they moved at the building across the street LOL. We were only informed after checking it out on Twitter =P We went straight to our room to take a short nap. I have to call it a quick body battery charge 😛

It feels great to finally invade the room, where I literally rolled on the bed LOL. The bathroom is clean with the needed toiletries, comfy bed and pillows. There is also a free wifi connection and there are two tables, where we can work comfortably.

Right after our Masskara Festival 2011 Street Dance Competition coverage, we went straight to the hotel to rest and take a shower. We went out after an hour to eat late dinner in a nearby seafood place (forgot the name of the place – too tired sorry hehe). There’s a nearby gimik place and we originally planned to go there after dinner, but the temptation to sleep on our beautiful room is too hard to resist so we ended up sleeping early. 😀

With eight hours of sleep, we woke up with much energy. We deserve a decent sleep so we got it! I love Breakfast Buffets whenever I am out of town. I think we spent an hour at the Buffet Breakfast area eating Crispy Danggit, Egg Omelette, Sausages among others.

To summarize, we had a good overnight stay at L Fisher Bacolod. I found out that they celebrated their 21st anniversary in the hotel business just this year. It is a perfect place for big families and business people who would like to have a good ambiance while talking about serious matters. It is also located in a place where there are lots of food establishments around. Perfect for the lazy ones like me LOL. Thank you AirPhil Express for this glamorous overnight stay in Bacolod. Sa uulitin hihihi 😛

Great hotel. I remember last year nung na cancel flight going out of Bacolod, the Zest personnel says they’ve booked the passengers on different hotel. I was transported here (which turns out by mistake) with two other bloggers (Vito and Fitz lol) and we were at the reception and was like, “Our flight with Zest air was cancelled and told us they booked us here” and the reception was like “You kidding with me – there are no bookings from Zest air”….lol moment.
