Body Scrub Friday at Forever Flawless

It is the main reason why I chose the Body Scrub service during my second visit to Forever Flawless Greenhills. I originally planned to try the other mall-based clinics, but meh, i feel so at home at the clinic just a few steps away from my real home.

Right after my lunch last Friday, I went straight to Forever Flawless Greenhills for a body scrub. I am so lucky because majority of the patients present that day were there for a facial. They only have one small room for the body scrub treatment.

This time, Joy from FFGH was assigned to do the Body Scrub. It is my first time ever to try body scrub. On my old workplace, a co-worker once told me that she won’t mind spending some bucks per month just to have a relaxing body scrub. It helps remove dead skin cells and helps whiten and soften the skin.

When I entered the room, Joy asked me to wear the disposable undies and gave me a shower cap too. Now here’s the ingredients for Body Scrub (refer to the photo above)

The first thing applied to my body is the combination of salt and oil, which helped remove dead skin cells and give a smoother feel to the skin. I was ’saltified’ (saltified LOL whattaterm haha) for 15 minutes. I remember laughing out loud when she was scrubbing my tummy area. May kiliti ako d’yan LOL

I took a quick shower then she applied something that helps whiten the skin. She applied the cream first at the back part of my body, leave it on for fifteen minutes, then apply more cream at the front part of the body and leave it there for fifteen minutes. Hmmm.. This really felt good! The soothing music at the background almost made me sleep

After the whitening part, I took a quick shower again. The last step is the moisturizing of the hands, legs and feet. I felt like a renewed person at the end of the treatment

The Body Scrub almost took us more than an hour to finish. I asked Joy who among the celebrity endorsers of Forever Flawless tried the Body Scrub. According to her, young male star Ejay Falcon and Starstruck Female Survivor Sarah Lahbati tried the Body Scrub before in the Greenhills branch.

The Body Scrub treatment costs around Php 2,000. It is not as expensive as I thought! When I went home that night, I checked my skin and it’s no longer dry and it lightened a bit. I have a feeling though that getting a body scrub at least once in one or two months will be a good idea not only for exfoliating my body, but also for relaxation purposes. I am happy to be a Flawless girl!

Enjoying my very own Senyorita moment being pampered by the Buttercups

I declared July 24 as my Beauty &Butter Saturday Nail Pamper Day. It was my only time to finally enjoy and avail the manicure and pedicure service enclosed in the beauty pass given to us in the Blogger Event they organized last June.

To be honest, I am not really vain when it comes to my nails. I don’t even know how to apply nail polish the right way The last time I had my nails at my hands painted was way back in my college graduation (so that’s sometime in November 2007). I usually have my nails at the feet done thru a certain home service and usually, I only ask them to just clean it and if ever they’ll apply nail polish, I choose the colorless coat.

I am lucky because even if I went to Beauty and Butter on a busy Saturday afternoon (peak of customers coming in), the staff and crew were all smiles when I entered. There were lots of girls (mostly mother-daughter tandems) enjoying the perks of being pampered by the “Buttercups”.

While waiting for my mani-pedi treat, I had a relaxing Foot Reflexology service which lasted for 30 minutes. It felt soooo good! Fhe, the Buttercup assigned to do the mani-pedi treatment asked me on which nail polish color should she apply.

Since I am not really a fan of colorful nails (blame it on my constant work on the keyboard teehee), I ended up choosing a light brown shade. It’s not even obvious that I have painted nails, but it does look clean and neat

While waiting for my nails to be colored and pampered, I got busy watching a cheering movie (forgot the title, btw). A part of me wished though that my girl friends were with me

Nail Dryer to the rescue!

I spent more than an hour being taken good care of by the buttercups. I had to leave immediately for an appointment in Quezon City and I was a bit worried with my nails not being dry before I walk my way to the MRT station. Thank God for nail dryers!

Free Wifi Access at Beauty and Butter (Hurray!)

Because of this nail pampering experience, I am now open to going to a nail salon more often. The staff and crew of Beauty and Butter were accommodating as expected. I checked their service menu and there were obvious additional services on the list. I noticed that there’s a full body massage. Hmmm… I’ll try that this Friday as a treat to my body this time. This hard-working body of mine deserves it

I consider lucky because I was the one and only guest when I entered The Bell House. I was able to take a few pictures and explore the whole place.

My favorite corner

This is my favorite part of The Bell House. It gives you the ‘Yehey! Nasa Baguio talaga ako!’ feeling. You can smell the pine trees and it gives you the very cozy feel. How I wish I have someone special with me when I went there so i can hug him real tight in that corner wehehe You can also see the perfect view of The History Trail and the Secret Garden.

The Bell Amphitheater is said to be one of the best choices of Baguio-based couples for their wedding, especially if they have a garden-themed wedding in mind. Who wouldn’t want to set their wedding in this very lovely location?

This Way to the Cemetery of Negativism...

It’s not my first time to visit Camp John Hay. In fact, my parents frequently went there since my mom was reviewing for the Nursing Board Exams. My uncle also worked in Baguio. Unfortunately, he was one of those Hyatt Hotel staff who died during the terrifying 1990 Earthquake. We used to go to Camp John Hay for picnic purposes. It took a while though before we went back. My father landed a radio job there before he reached his early retirement.

Enter the Cemetery of Negativism

It was my first time to explore Camp John Hay on my own. I went there alone primarily to visit a cemetery i saw from Ferdz’ blog. It is the Pet Cemetery or the Cemetery of Negativism.

WHY DIDENT I?!

The Cemetery of Negativism (or Pet Cemetery… not Pet Society LOL) is a part of the John Hay Historical Core. This symbolic cemetery was founded by Major John Hightower. It aims to encourage all its vistors to bury the banes of productivity in clever epitaphs. Take a look at some of the epitaphs below:

I went to Baguio via Victory Liner’s De Luxe bus. According to some of my friends, the said bus type is the best since it has bigger seats, no stopovers, free snacks and there’s a comfort room inside. They also have their own version of a stewardess instead of having a conductor. The travel time is also shorter. The bus left Victory Liner Cubao at 12:15am sharp and we arrived at Victory Liner Baguio at 4:30AM. Fast, huh?

I smiled when I found out that Microtel Baguio is just located near Victory Liner’s station. Actually, there is a connecting walkway from the terminal to the hotel lobby. It is an ideal location to the visitors who doesn’t really want to worry much on choosing the right hotel. The right hotel is already there

I was impressed when I saw my room. I took the suite room good for two since it is the only room available. Instead of feeling sorry for myself, I ended up sleeping right away. The bed is just too tempting to sleep at and the pillows are too huggable. The comforter is soft up to the extent of me wrapping my whole body with it and i eventually slept

And i woke up at around 2:30PM. Gherlyn, my high school friend whom I haven’t seen for five years told me that she’ll be meeting up with her friends in SM Baguio for coffee before going to work. Fortunately, SM Baguio is just five minutes away from Microtel.

After spending the whole afternoon and early evening in the mall at gallivanting around the area (upper and lower session etc), I ended up going back to my hotel room. I was there lying down, relaxing like a real senyorita while watching my favorite soap operas and my favorite Juicy show LOL.

I went to Zola, a 24 hours restaurant near the hotel for Free Wifi and for some pasta. I waited to a friend and left the place at around 3:30AM. For some weird reason, I decided to record a dancing video inside my room at 4:43AM. My room is spacious, huh?

All I needed was two hours of sleep. I went straight to the hotel lobby for my complimentary breakfast. I ate a lot and i noticed that most of the guests were older than I am. I went back to the buffet table thrice. Sarap kasi ng food, eh!

After filling my empty tummy with delicious food, I tried to sleep again but i ended up writing a short story. The view from my window is just too inspiring. I packed my things at 11AM and left my things at the lobby for the checkout.

So far, so good, I really enjoyed my overnight stay at Microtel Baguio. The place is just too perfect for those who’d like to walk around or relax. The hotel strategically located near a mall, a park, convenience store, coffee shop among others. The staff and crew were also nice and accommodating. How I wish though that the wifi access is free

I am not getting any younger. I am already 23 years old and in fact, I’m already in the marrying age. I remember before I stepped out of college, I wrote a blog entry in my LiveJournal account in relation to my goals after graduation. One of the things I wrote in that entry is my dream of buying my own house. The presence of my little brother somewhat inspired me to do my best in achieving that goal, but that was two years ago. Wait, have I saved enough money ever since I became an official member of the workforce?

Just recently, I browsed through the listings at AyosDito.ph. A good friend of mine from high school told me that his mother was able to find a very nice in  place in Urdaneta City thru the site’s house and lot for sale listings. The curious me then started browsing through the listings and for some weird reason (or should i say, obvious reason? LOL!), I starting looking for house and lot information for Central Visayas (Cebu). I found a number of good properties and I instantly fell in love with one:

The house above is located at Villa del Rio in Mactan and it costs around Php9.8 Million. Very, very expensive, right? But I really want this house and I want to have a property in Cebu someday

Anyway, I never thought that house and lot shopping online is this fun and inspiring. I browsed through a number of properties in Davao, Cagayan de Oro and in my hometown, Dagupan City. I should start allotting extra money for my dream house.

I am only 23 years old. I can do this!

See, I was late due to the heavy rain and I got lost LOL. When I walking at the entrance of ThreeSixty Resto Bar, the interior design of the place caught my attention.

Lucky me because I am not really that late for dinner yet I got the chance to meet Bong Velasco, the very hospitable and accommodating owner of the restobar. He informed us that he got his inspiration from his travels. He was able to try different cuisines from all over the world, thus it inspired him to come up with a very nice dining place.

Aside from the food, what really caught my attention is the Acoustic Tuesdays. As a lover of Acoustic songs, I loved the fact that they have a good resident acoustic performer at the place. Ram, Eric and Winston were able to sing infront. I wanted to sing, but I failed. I will definitely go back because the selection of songs is great!

All in all, I had a food and music-filled night! I am thinking of going back to ThreeSixty Resto Bar. Nice place, great food, full of entertainment!

Forever Flawless Greenhills Branch

I went to Forever Flawless Greenhills branch at around 5pm. It’s actually my second time to go to the said branch. The first one was early this year when I tried the Back Cleaning. I am satisfied with the treatment and was supposed to continue with the peeling procedure. However, I wasn’t able to push through with the plan because of my out of town trips.

Anyway, so there I went. While waiting for my turn, I took the opportunity to take pictures and also check some of their products. The staff of the Greenhills branch were nice and accommodating just like my first visit. There wasn’t much patients that time that’s why I felt more relaxed

I was introduced to Dr. Margaux D. Cu. I asked her on which facial treatment is best for me since ugh, to be honest, i have lots of pimples, blackheads and whiteheads. I am not exactly a vain person, but I am starting to be conscious now. Actually, one of my goals for 2010 is to undergo a monthly facial treatment. The lazy girl in me stopped me so here I am with an acne-ish face LOL. I’m glad Forever Flawless is here to rescue me hihi

Dr. Cu advised me to take the Acne Control Advanced Facial. According to the service menu, it is suitable for those who suffer from blackheads, whiteheads, pimples and inflammation. It will shrink open pores, cure infections and will dry up pimples. Best for me, right? The lovely doctor also asked me about my sleeping routine. She smiled when I revealed that I am usually awake at night. I guess that explains the breakouts and the other unwanted happenings in my face LOL I also took the opportunity to have my back checked. Sadly, the acne problems at my back is more intense that the one in my face I’m planning to try one of the back peel procedure in my next visit. It is the only thing that stopped me from wearing backless and bikinis

Maylin is my aesthetician for the day. Before the procedure, she explained the whole process. First, she will apply foam to wash off the dirt on my face, then she will do facial and hand massage in order for me to relax. Seriously, I am a bit scared with the pricking part. She will then apply the laser thing after in order to close the pores and other openings caused by the pricking. Then a cold mask will be placed for a few minutes on my face then that’s it!

I kept on asking questions during the foaming part (isn’t it obvious that i’m scared? LOL). Even Dr, Cu witnessed my kakulitan with my questions Ate Maylin wrapped my hands in this pink gloves after she turned on the steamer,  which made me really happy for child-like reasons.

At the back of my mind, i was thinking ‘Maybe they’re letting me wear these so I won’t do a Manny Pacquiao when she starts pricking my pimples’ LOL. Of course I was just imagining too much

Now hello pricking part! Thank God I had enough sleep before the procedure. The last time I had a facial, I only had two hours of sleep and its not a good idea to undergo a pricking procedure when you lack sleep. I am lucky because Ate Maylin is not a sadist aesthetician and she did handle my face with care She concentrated much on the nose part and it is obvious why Please remove all the dirt off my face pls

Due to the relaxing music being played, i almost fell asleep. The pricking part didn’t hurt much as expected. A gauze was placed at the top of my face for the laser thingy, which lasted for 10 minutes. The smell is not really good, pero kelangan magtiis. Tiis ganda LOL

The mask part really surprised me. I didn’t have any idea prior to the procedure that the cream to be placed is really cold The mask thing aims to remove the dirt and make the skin feel extra smooth and soft. After having a few minutes of having a frozen face, Ate Maylin peeled the mask off. It felt soooo good!

Now up, awake and happy!

So far so good, I am satisfied with my Acne Control Advanced Facial. I never thought it will feel this great! I can compare it to going to a spa. My face felt more relaxed and for a time, I didn’t think about stress. I almost slept at the bed during the procedure and the staff, starting from the doctor to the aestheticians, receptionist and doorman were all trustworthy. As I said at the first part of this post, I went to the branch early this year. I am sure their treatment to me that day is not for show

Aside from the back peel procedure that i’ve been craving for, I am also tempted to try their body scrub and anything related to the whitening of the armpits. Time to have a flawless kili-kili LOL

Last week, I was invited at the grand launch of BlueWater Day Spa’s Tomas Morato branch. I arrived late but I was able to catch the proper press conference. Some of the celebrities spotted include Maxene Magalona, Kiko Rustia, Boom Labrusca, Akihiro Sato and of course, Karylle. Four years ago, my mom and I spotted Karylle at the Annapolis branch and she is not the main endorser that time. I’m happy to know that finally, she is representing the company.

Karylle rendered a special song number much to the delight of the attendees. A short AVP about BWDS’s services was shown. The new franchisees were also introduced and they even gave out cash prizes and GC’s. I even won a gift certificate and a hug from Akihiro Sato LOL.

The endorsers did their job by stating the different products and services offered by BlueWater Day Spa. One of the advantage of having Tomas Morato as the location is that there is a big possibility that the celebrities will go to your place and have a relaxed time.
