The host of the “Star News” segment of “TV Patrol” and the showbiz-oriented show, “The Buzz” on ABS-CBN, maintains her camera-ready looks by visiting the Belo Medical clinic regularly.

“I’m easily convinced when Dr. Vicki Belo tells me something that will enhance my personality,” says Phoemela. “In this business, you have to look good even when you’re not in front of the cameras.”

Two years ago, Phoemela underwent non-surgical facial reshaping when she did botox for the masseter or jaw muscle to correct her TMJ (temporo-mandibular joint).

Her latest endorsement for Belo is breast enhancement, a surgical procedure to help build self-esteem for women. She believes the female breasts, being the symbol of femininity and womanhood, play an important part in building self-confidence among women.

Breast augmentation is one of the most commonly performed and most coveted cosmetic operations. Primarily, women desire the results of this surgery due to the commonly perceived definition of ideal beauty. The more shapely the breasts, the more womanly a lady becomes.

“I am very happy with the result of my breast enhancement procedure with Belo,” Phoemela says. “I became more confident especially when facing the cameras.”

Phoemela is a print and ramp model, a member of the Professional Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP). She completed her AB Inter-Disciplinary Studies course from the College of St. Benilde at De La Salle University.

Aside from hosting, Phoemela has done acting jobs. On TV, she was offered her first assignment in ABS-CBN’s soap series, “Pangako sa ‘Yo,” starring Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa.

On the big screen, she played a bad girl role in “Ang Pamana,” which took her to film festivals abroad – San Francisco Film Festival and Hawaii International Film Festival. Her Phoemela’s other film credits include “Dubai” (starring Aga Muhlach, Claudine Barretto and John Lloyd Cruz) and “Tatlong Baraha” (the 2006 Metro manila Film Festival entry with Sen. Lito Lapid and sons Mark and Maynard).

On my previous job, my co-employees once planned of having our own outing in San Juan, Batangas. Unfortunately, it never pushed through due to the lack of time and funds. Just last week, one of them sent me a message asking me if I am available to go with them to their outing. It also serves as a despedida for my two friends and yes, a reunion of some sorts. I immediately said yes!

Kabayan Beach Resort - San Juan, Batangas

We found ourselves at Kabayan Beach Resort in San Juan, Batangas. I’ve been to San Juan, Batangas only once and that was twelve years ago. It is actually nice to go back

... and we're here at Kabayan Beach Resort!

We planned for a day tour. The location is quite far, but the long drive is worth it. We whole team arrived at Kabayan Resort at around 12noon (just in time for lunch!). The place is a bit occupied with families and barkadas enjoying the weekend, but we didn’t really worry much about the parking. The security guard of the resort had a list of guests with him and gladly assisted us.

There are several types of cottages available for day tours. There are rooms as well for those who are planning to stay overnight. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take pictures

What can I say about Kabayan Resort? I love the place because it is clean and quiet – meaning the place is not crowded and the janitors were just around the place to pick up some trash from time to time. The facilities are also nice and the view just simply gives you the peace of mind that you need. The view of the sea, the mountains and the sunset is just too pleasing to the eye especially if you just arrived from the City of Manila. The love the sand too!

The staff and crew of the resort were accommodating and they gladly assisted to our needs with a smiling face.

Hello everyone! I would like to take this opportunity to say sorry to the readers of this blog (I still have a number of visitors according to my blog stats LOL). I feel guilty because I’ve been to a lot of places in the past months, but I failed to blog about my adventures here at Senyorita. I ended up writing some bullet points in my main blog instead. My apologies!

Anyway, I noticed that the last time I posted an entry here at my travel blog is way back in September, which makes it five months ago. Sigh. I really feel guilty now. Blame it on my lazy side. That trait of mine makes me really suitable for my Senyorita persona.

Let me give you a little summary on where I’ve been in the past months. I’m still hoping though that I’d be able to work on my backlogs if I have enough time.

Nyoks at the 1st Nuffnang Blog Awards Photo By Ada Lajara

OCTOBER - I went to Cebu for the Philippine Blog Awards 2009 Cebu Leg. I also went to Singapore for the 1st Nuffnang Blog Awards, which makes it my first out-of-the-country trip since 1994. Whew!

The Lounge Grand Launch Party

NOVEMBER – Stuck in Manila. I ended up in the malls, coffee shops and in the newest gimikan places in Metro Manila like The Lounge

Weekend Visit to Dagupan City, My Hometown before Christmas!

DECEMBER - I had the chance to spend my first weekend of December in Dagupan City, my hometown. I was able to take some pictures from different food establishments. I went to Davao City a week after and I really had much fun! Spent a ‘cheesy’ Christmas Eve breakfast in Pampanga with some of my blogger friends. Went to Tagaytay with the rest of the Plurkers for the yearly Plurklakbayan. I spent my Christmas Eve and New Year in Subic with my grandparents. All in all, I went to five places last December! That’s quite a lot!

First time in Plantation Bay Resort and Spa

JANUARY – I went back to Cebu City supposedly for Sinulog 2010. Unfortunately, I booked our tickets on the wrong date No regrets though because we had lots of fun! I was able to explore the other parts of Mactan that I’ve never been too. I have a feeling I’ll go back to Cebu again this year.

Sitting on the grass while shooting everything that flies

FEBRUARY – My friends and I kept on shooting the flying giant balloons at Clark, Pampanga for the Hot Air Balloon Festival. I went to Tagaytay again a week after with my blogger friends and by Saturday, I’ll be going to Kabayan Resort in San Juan, Batangas with my former officemates.

I will be spending my first March weekend in Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan with my female friends. Wow, early way to start the summer season, right? We booked a flight to Macau for April and Davao too!

Yay, so many travel backlogs and so many places to go to. Traveling might be an expensive hobby, but who cares? I’m working hard for the money and at least I’m having fun. I would like to enjoy the fruits of my labor by making myself happy and discovering the beauty of the Philippines and hopefully, the world

So don’t be surprised if from time to time, I’d be updating this blog with entries from my past trips. I would love to share them to all of you and hopefully, you’d be able to share your adventures too!

This is Senyorita signing in again Happy lakwatsa to all!

Are you looking for a good activity to do on your stay in Boracay? Why don’t you go island hopping?

We went to Boracay without any activity to do in mind. We went there with the ‘Bahala na’ mindset. You can possibly do everything in the island like reef walking, snorkeling among others. The most popular though is island hopping. Who wouldn’t love to explore the beauty of the place?

Allan B Fun Tour Booth at Station 3

While walking at Station 3, we found the booth of Allan B. Fun Tour. We consulted the person assigned that day and we were surprised when she said that we can join the island hoppers the next day for only Php 500 per head. The itinerary includes Snorkeling, Crystal Cove, Buffet Lunch, another swimming round and Puka Beach. All these for Php 500? Not bad!

We woke up early the next day and ate our breakfast at Andok’s. We went to Station 3 and joined the rest of the tourists in the boat. Our first stop is Snorkeling. They provided the mask and snorkel. We also paid Php 20 for the Environmental Fee.

Snorkeling with the other tourists

Our next stop is Crystal Cove. It is a private island and anyone can go there as long as you pay the Php 200 entrance fee. We stayed there for an hour.

We went to Cave 1 and Cave 2. I failed to bring my camera at the latter. You have to pass through a little tunnel before you can reach the very nice and clean part.

After the ‘cave hopping’, the three of us went to a bamboo spot and relaxed a bit.

A view from the Bamboo spot

We left the island for our buffet lunch. We were all hungry due to the past two activities and the heat of the sun made us really thirsty.

Buffet Lunch Time!

I am specifically happy with the buffet lunch. They served chicken, pork, barbeque, grilled fish, vegetable salad, stir fried veggies, unlimited rice and garlic shrimps! We took half of the garlic shrimps placed at the buffet table and the lady next to us was kinda surprised LOL (Patay Gutom mode ON!) They also have fruits such as banana and watermelon for that day. There’s unlimited softdrinks and mineral water. The caretaker advised us to bring some water on the boat

FACEBUKO is here at Wordcamp Boracay! LOL

Xef and I were craving for buko juice since we arrived in Boracay. We were able to purchase one in one of our stops for Php 35 and if you ran out of load, you can also buy some credits at the buko juice vendor. O ha!

We spent an hour at the middle of the sea. Most of the passengers tried snorkeling once more. The rest simply swam beside the boat. A korean guy did some diving and two pinoys caught a blue and yellow-ish starfish. The three of us were chatting about the Wordcamp LOL.

Stopover at the middle of the sea

Our final destination is the Puka Beach. It was my second time on the island and as expected, the puka shells vendors went to us. We ate ice cream and took lots of photos. Winston took lots of pictures and even had the chance to interview a puka shell vendor. For some reason, the place reminds me of Chris Tiu, Kim Chiu and Pikachu T_T

Puka Beach

Our way back to Boracay Station 3 is made of win. We were absolutely soaking wet! The fun tour lasted from 10AM to 4:30PM. We really had a great time and the price we paid for the tour is worth it.

On my second Boracay trip, we were planning to stay at Taj Guesthouse as recommended by Melo. However, they were already fully-booked when we called them up three days before our arrival (Ok, I take the blame on this LOL!). Our second option is Tans Guesthouse, where my grandparents, bestfriend and I stayed last June. We really enjoyed our two day stay there and we were well taken care of by the staff. Unluckily, they’re also fully-booked for the weekend.

Tans referred us to Eriko’s House (Station 2), which its front desk is located adjacent to Tans Guesthouse. I went to their website and browse through the photos of their rooms. Since we were already desperate to get a room, we rejoiced when the said hotel confirmed that they still have vacant rooms left.

Since I am the only girl in the group, I had my own room. Winston and Xef stayed in the Twin De Luxe Room. I paid Php 1,200 a night for my room since it’s a weekend (Php1000 weekdays) while the boys paid Php 1500 for their room. Our check-in time is 2PM, but the staff that morning was kind enough to let us stay in our room as early as 9AM.. Hurray!

Eriko’s House somewhat surpassed our expectations. We were expecting to stay in a simple room with white bed sheet and pale room design. However, my room is just awesome. If only I can have my room repainted similar to it! There’s a veranda too just in case you want to smoke or simply do your own emo moment there.

The room of Winston and Xef is also spacious and clean. There’s a Cable TV, Aircon, Refrigirator, Cabinet and Safety Deposit Box.

The bathroom is also clean. They have hot and cold water. There’s also a rack where you can place your wet towels, bathing suit, underwear and so on!

The location is very accessible since there’s a nearby mini-grocery where you can buy your toiletries and other personal needs. The hotel is just a few minutes away from the beach.

So are we going back to Eriko’s House? Definitely!

Last weekend, I went to Boracay for the second time this year with two of my blogger friends. Thanks to SEAIR for giving us a memorable roundtrip plane ride from Manila to Caticlan!

SEAIR Increases Flights to Caticlan

Just like as what I mentioned on my previous blog entry, I went to Boracay last June with mygrand parents and bestfriend. It was our first time to travel with SEAIR and we did really have a fast and secured trip. On my latest trip, I discovered a lot of wonderful facts about SEAIR.

SEAIR is the only airline who works in the Caticlan airport due to what happened a few months back with another airline. Because of this, they increased their flights to Caticlan. No worries though since SEAIR also provides a transfer from Caticlan airport to Boracay and vice-versa. Isn’t that cool? If you’re curious about it, let me share you a little SEAIR story through pictures:

For the second time this year, I spent my weekend in Boracay this time with Winston and Xef. We originally wanted to go to Batanes, but our travel blogger friends advised us not to go there this month due to the bad weather. Tablas Island is also in the option, but we decided to just stick to Boracay.

Snorkeling with Maire last June 2009

Since I wasn’t able to write a detailed blog entry about the my first Boracay trip with my grandparents and high school bestfriend, I decided to create a simple Boracay travel diary based on what happened to me during my June and September Boracay trips. Expect a much detailed blog entry about the following:

The Ultimate Boracay Experience Travel Diary

SEAIR Flights to Caticlan

First Time in Boracay

Accommodation: Eriko’s House

Jony’s Milkshake

Eat All You Can for Php 250!

Breakfast at Andok’s

Cheap Island Hopping Adventure in Boracay

Snorkeling in Boracay

Reef Walking in Boracay

Things to do in Boracay

Crystal Cove

Willy’s Cave

Eating Ice Cream at Puka Beach with Pinoy Lakwatsero

Whew! I have to write twelve entries for Boracay alone! Though that will need a lot of effort, every detail is worth sharing to every Juan reading this. Hoping In a way, I can help you out with my Boracay experience!
Have you been to Boracay? Mind to share your experience?

A few months ago, I was invited together with three bloggers for the first ever HBC Baranggay Invasion tour. I do admit that the main reason why I joined the said tour is its main female endorser Ms. Anne Curtis.

HBC Products in a basket

Did you know that HBC managed to transform a simple basketball court into a HBC beauty center? Though I failed to avail some of their services such as hair coloring, facials, diamond peel, makeover among others, I witnessed how our simple kababayans were pampered that hot Saturday night. I checked the prices at their brochure and I am quite surprised that you can actually avail their services in a very minimum amount!

HBC Tatak Exclusibo sa Baranggay

Some of the residents joined the funny yet entertaining HBC game wherein they have to guess on which of the exclusive HBC products they are describing.

Anne Curtis sharing her beauty secrets

The highlight of the event is the appearance of Ms. Anne Curtis. She gave a short yet sweet testimonial on how she takes good care of her face and how she loves the products of HBC. She even encouraged the ladies in the court that every individual has the right to be beautiful. Thank God for HBC as they have affordable yet quality products and services.

Anne Curtis loves the Sunset Party blush on from the San San Krisanne Coral Collection

FYI: Anne Curtis loves the Sunset Party blush on from the San San Krisanne Coral Collection!

Just last week, I went to the HBC MRT Ayala branch. I found out that their products are on sale!

Last July 2008, I was fortunate enough to witness their 6th anniversary celebration with an open house. New/old patients were invited to the exclusive preview of their latest beauty breakthroughs and signature treatments. Some of the patients of the Belo Medical Group also gave their testimonies about their experience with Belo.

Joyce Jimenez attentively listens to the Belo Girl

One of the services that caught my attention that night is the Visia Complexion Analyzer. It is a machine that can detect how you can improve the quality of your skin. It will also produce a print out report about the percentage score of your skin in terms of spots, texture, pores and wrinkles. Belo endorser Joyce Jimenez tried the said service that night. Also spotted in the event were Karylle, Ariel, Maverick, Butch Francisco and of course, Dr. Vicki Belo herself.

Last Saturday, a few bloggers were invited in an undisclosed location. According to the invitation, we have to ‘Dress to Impress’. What does that necessarily mean?

I met up with Maki before the event. We decided to wear a simple dress and high-heeled shoes. No slippers and no skinny jeans for that day. We applied a little make up on and off we go to Greenbelt for the very secretive event.

Upon arrival, I saw a number of bloggers in their semi-formal outfit. The girls looked gorgeous with their dresses and the gents looked like a perfect gentlemen with their attire. We were actually late and we were transferred into another undisclosed location for a new service by a big network provider.

On our way back to the first venue, Winston took some photos of me. I can’t help but remember my office days in Makati. I can’t even remember the last time I wore a dress and high-heeled shoes at the busy place. Maybe I should do this often. What do you think?
